On his 35th birthday, Fito Celedón was gunned down two blocks from home in Berkeley, California. Sixteen years later, the two men responsible have never been identified. This is the story of the 2010 murder that Berkeley has never let go cold — the investigation, the reward that’s climbed from $20,000 to $50,000, the memorial his fiancée built at the murder scene, and the tip line still open today.
Case status: UNSOLVED. No arrest, no suspect ever publicly named. Berkeley Police Department renewed the $50,000 reward on September 12, 2026, the 16th anniversary of the murder.
